block 020 does no good without the actual timing curve (block 003)

otherwise, those sensitivities would be a really nice comparison.

I wish I knew what all of this meant 0_0. I'm guessing it's pretty crazy though.

By "all of this" I mean the graphs. Not the turbo + boost pressure.

    Yeah, that's what I thought...

    Ignition on:
    SPS in,
    Wait.
    Beep, Beeeep

    Remove SPS,

    Ignition off, 5 seconds

    Ignition on, Engine on again.

    Am I doing anything wrong??

Block 003 is RPM, Maf, Adv timing and throttle angle IIRC.

From the REVO site for the SPS3

To make adjustments follow the steps outlined below.
1] Select the desired mode to be changed on input selector [a]
2] Set range selector knob [b] to the desired boost, timing, throttle sensitivety, or
    air/fuel ratio level.
3] Locate the OBD2 port on the car
    4] Turn the key on.
    5] Insert the SPS3 into OBD2 port.
6] Wait for a single beep to sound [beep is repeated while the SPS3 is in the OBD2
    port].
7] Remove the SPS3 from the port.
8] Repeat as necessary to make multiple changes.
    9] Start the car.

    Re: GT71R Eliminator Logs... Wow

    Yes, Exactly what I did.

It seems sad though that I can only run 1 degree of timing advancement because of our Nazifornia Craptane.

Can you comment on the logs though?

Anything I should be worried about?

Is my wastegate pressure supposed to be 9-10psi? Shouldn't it be more like 14-15?

    Re: GT71R Eliminator Logs... Wow

Odd that you are getting such a high CF reading at low rpms even on the boost 0 timing 2.

BTW what size maf housing are you running, because it seems your maf reading at idle might be a bit low(2.4) on run 2. Low readings can cause the ecu to run way more timing then it should and this could be the cause of your high CF readings. Your load readings are very low too, you should be seeing 191 if you are running a stock maf using.

    Re: GT71R Eliminator Logs... Wow

    Mike,

I'm running the factory MAF housing.
I've already switched out a brand new MAF 1.5 years ago.
But MAFs going bad seem to be a common problem, but I didn't know it would be this soon.

I originally thought the unusually high CFs might have been due to my Intercooler (E-Code intercooler) because at that gear and RPM my car isn't really moving. But I think you're onto something.

Low MAF reading it is. I'm gonna have to switch it out for a new one.

Will my REVO tuning run with a 3" maf Housing?

It is odd though, that's why I decided to take out all boost and run wastegate pressure (which I thought was pretty low too). 9-10 PSI for wastegate pressure??

Another thing that came to mind, the software may be overworking the MAF because B:9 is supposed to be the manual setting for programming to figure out how much boost I'm running with an MBC. The MAP sensor and MAF may be working overtime because of this.

    I haven't run my N75 since I got this 71R setup 3 years ago.

Essentially, I'm not making any more useable power over Stg 1 programming under 4500-5000 rpms at this point.

Anything else I should be looking at?

    Thanks

    Re: GT71R Eliminator Logs... Wow

Everything is most likely because of the low reading at the maf. You can unplug the maf and see if your CF readings drop.

    Re: GT71R Eliminator Logs... Wow

Your CF is high because you are NOT on timing 2...either you are doing it wrong or the SPS is fuxxored.

Go by EuroCode and log the car with David, he can make sure that the settings are safe. Not likley that the ca ris going to blow up, but that is a lot of timing for pump gas and low boost.

The whole boost thing about wastegate pressure being 9-10 psi is not really that important unless you cannot hit 22psi on boost 8.

    Re: GT71R Eliminator Logs... Wow

the GTRS has a 14PSI waste gate. I had to replace mine and talked to ATP about it. so in theory i would imagine it would means that once you have 14psi that the boost would then be able to overcome the spring pressure, but there might be factors i'm not taking into account.

    Re: GT71R Eliminator Logs... Wow

I plan to do that anyway.

I have seen dear Dave in a long ass time. Everytime I go to E-Code, I say the same thing.

Eli: Hey Allen, how can I help you?
Me: You can try, but I'm waiting for Dave.
Eli: you sure? he'll be here in a few hours.
Me: I'll grab some lunch for you guys.

David Kim: "" "" (same deal)
    Me; I'll wait for dave.

    Jeremy: "" "" (same deal)
    Me: I"ll wait for Dave.

Sarkis: "" "" Sorry Allen, gotta ask Dave about that
Me: Yeah, I was going to anyway. I'll wait for Dave.

Agreed Fowler... I turned down the boost to be safe, and I'm going to try loading the SPS to T1 a few times.

    You are Safe.

    I'm NOT.

Go check out the B6 Tech section, there's a Writeup about Logging.

    It's very helpful.

    Re: GT71R Eliminator Logs... Wow

That is exactly correct. Once the boost signal to the Wastegate hits 14 psi, the waste will just slightly crack open. As you hit more and more boost, it will obviously open more and more, to keep you boosting 14-14.5 psi.

So seeing as it is that I"m boosting 9-10 on wastegate pressure, that is a problemo.

    Re: GT71R Eliminator Logs... Wow

Haven't tried logging the car that way before. But worth a damn try.

My car barely holds idle without the Maf plugged in. I don't know how it will will up logging, but worth a try. I'm pretty sure Revo software is made to rely heavily on the MAF. If it ends up being the stupid MAF, i'm willing to swap it as a New MAF is a ~100 dollar part. for $100 to make my car like a champ, I'll take it any day of the week.
