    Window Problem not Regulator

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
My passenger front window stopped going up and down. The little plastic pieces that attach the window to the regulator assembly broke. So I'm wondering if there is any way to only replace those plastic pieces. I have the new (but used) regulator with the said broken piece. Any help would be great thanks.

No not the wheels I ordered those thinking they where the problem. They are longer pieces of green plastic. I believe it's the same piece that breaks on the VW regulators.

oh i know which ones you mean. I'm pretty sure you still have to change the whole regulator assembly. I've never heard of anyone just changing those peices......

    Re: Window Problem not Regulator

Well damn, that's a bunch of BS. My coworker has a 01 Golf that the plastic clips keep breaking on and VW keeps replacing them for free.

Any who I thought the guide wires/cables disconnected from the regulator. So I could hook them up to the old regulator. But thanks for the help guys

I ordered some small green plastic "wheels" from them but they don't look like the pieces that broke.

Yeah, you need the whole thing...the plastic pieces are just part of the whole shitty assemble design. That is what happened to mine and I don't recall seeing a way you could just replace the broken plastic pieces.
