    hey guys,
In the middle of my tbelt job and have a couple quetins?

-What happens if you move the crank counter clockwise while the tbelt is still on?

-Doing cam and crank seals, but dont have the cam and crank lock tool. How do I do this without the special tool? I cannot find the DIY anywhere.

    Thanks guys!
    -Sean

    Re: Timing Belt Q?

DO NOT move it backwards! Keep it at TDC. If you haven't taken off the belt yet, you can still rotate the motor by hand, just make sure you are back at TDC when you take off the belt.

    Re: Timing Belt Q?

I moved it backwards (counter) when the belt was still on, and then clockwise to TDC. That ok? Just wanted to know if it was bad to rotate the crank counter and clockwise while the belt is still on. I know not to move it while the belt is off.

theres an awesome chance that you will never get the crank bolt out, and on top of that you should always have a new crank bolt when you do it anyway... is it actually leaking? You can use the crank bolt to hold the tension to break the cam gear loose
