    how to take panel off roof???

    does anyone know, or is there diy for taking panels off the roof?
    I'm planning to put sound deadening material but I've never taken the panel off the roof before.

    It involves disabling the SRS and removing the side curtain airbags and seatbelts. not really something you should be toying with. You need find the true source of your wind noise, and stop playing around with soundproofing. Roof racks generally cause a lot of wind noise due to turbulence. also check your door strikers, as on VW and Audi cars, these tend to loosen up over time and allow the door to hang slightly open. also check the condition of your wheel bearings, as this will cause an immense amount of road noise, sounds similar to a tire growl.

    I believe he is talking about using a sound deadening material for stereo use, not to deal with wind noise.

    I'm in Amherst and my car's stuck in Hatfield...getting clutch done this week...so I'm going to try by myself and see how it goes...hope it doesn't take too long to take all the interior parts out and putting back in...
