Looking for a rear engine cover for the B6 S4... Any Ideas?

Hey guys,

Started to do some work under the hood today and the rear engine cover cracked. I need to replace it, but i would really like to avoid paying $85+ for a new one at the dealer. Anyone have an extra one laying around or know anyone parting out one of these cars? Any help would be appreciated.

Get some fusor or some putty and just fix it. That upper left cover that everyone seems to be missing was split in half when I bought the car so I put it together and unless you get really close you can't even tell that it was broken.

where did it crack? You can use some bondo and fiberglass to mold it, then sand it and paint. it will look like new if done right.

Use a sottering iron and some abs and just melt it back together...

Does anyone have this part number? My search hasn't turned up anything. Well anything except this post that was asking for it.

I found out that my cover has a portion broken off.

I'm not sure which part number is correct, but I'm 99.99999999% it's one of these:

079-103-926-F
079-103-926-E

The second part number (-E) is used on B7s but for some reason the B6 has both of the above listed. Maybe that just means the -F is an older version?

There are several different numbers for this piece. The end letter varys, but they are all interchangable to my knowledge.

Yes i got one from a member with a salvage S4 on Audiworld. Paid 25 shipped.

The rings will come right off? If so i dont think i will be needing it.
