Coilovers tell me about them..

So I was watching this Youtube video from a group called EveryDay Driver and they had a b6 a4 avant. One thing the guy mentioned was that it could use coilovers for better handling.. So last night I was driving and I was really interested in seeing if I could get my b6 to handle even more better.. BUT as much as I want to lower it from the stock Sport height, I cant. I live in an area of hills and all the curbs, if you dont drive super slow up them (with my current height) will tear the living hell out of your bumper.. Also there is a patch of street I sometimes drive that is a landslide area thats full of bumps.. So lowering is out of the question... Would coil-overs lower my car? If installed what would I gain? Tell me your opionions on them, and why coil-overs are the shizzle..

This is the landslide street I was talking about.. It doesnt show just how bad it is, but I've got a friend who has a MKVI R32 lowered and he cant drive this street, otherwise it chews the front bumper to shreds.. Hence why I cant lower mine..

Coilovers allow you to adjust the perch height of the springs so you can raise or lower you car. If you do not intend to lower your car I wouldn't bother with coilovers. Just stick with your stock sport suspension and upgraded sway bar.

Not worth it then. Splurge on tires and get a sway, +1.

But to answer your question, yes, you can add coilovers and keep your current ride height
