Where can i start looking or does anybody have a wiring diagram connected to fuses 34 and 29? i keep blowing fuse 34 EXCEPT when im beating the piss out of the car. I just did about 30 pulls from all mph and speeds and the fuse was fine but when driving normally or trying to get it moving from a stop I just keep blowing fuse 34 after the car jerks a bit. Any ideas of what could be causing this? or have a detailed list of places to start looking?

btw i check pretty much every engine ground and all is good on that front. i also unplugged the maf and tried driving but it just automatically starts idling shitty without the maf in.

dont have the exact codes ill have lilis300 post em up but basically the camshaft timing sensor along with every sensor in the exhaust from both egts and front and rear o2's (all 6) are throwing codes.

have you checked your wiring harness along the firewall, under the coolant bottle for wiring damage?

    Re: Short to Ground

If you want to drive it north I know a good mechanic that can fix it for you.

It sounds like you have a short somewhere which is causing the issue.

    Re: Short to Ground

north to where? i think i might have found the issue but still no guarantee that its the problem but i looked under the dash for the fuel pump relay that somebody said has caused people the same problem before and i found that several wires that go to the same harness from the fuse box as fuse 34 (lime green wire with yellow stripe) were melted together i dont know what else goes to that wire harness but i know that the harness itself by the dead pedal is grey and contains 5-6 wires including the green and yellow one for fuse 34. does anybody know what wires are in that harness or has ever heard of them melting down? i know that nobody has tampered wiht the wires because they still had factory coatings on them

Warwick NY, north of us :)

From the tristate area it's about a 45 minute ride.

But yea, fix those melted wires!

    Re: Short to Ground

Melted together wiring is never a good sign... Unhook your battery, and carefully pull them apart. Temporarily insulate them with electrical tape, secure them, and hook the battery back up. Go drive it and if the issue is fixed, have them fixed right. Good luck

    Re: Short to Ground

I dont have a wiring diagram in front of me, but if I recall, the wires that melted together are 02 sensor heater wires. If I were you, I would inplug each oxygen sensor, one at a time, and I'm sure you will find that unplugging one of them will yield you no burnt fuse. This would mean that one of the 02's is internally shorted. Of course, separate and tape up the wires which are melted together first.

    Re: Short to Ground

what would cause fuse 34 to blow when turning on the car and not while driving it? i repaired all of the damaged wires under the dash but now the fuse blows when i turn on the car but if replaced while the car is running then it will drive and drive and drive no problems. whats different during start-up and what could be the cause of this?

    Re: Short to Ground

during start up maybe there is a high load on that wire, I wonde rif a rodent chewed your wire harness and made a short some ware, but a constant blowing fuse is not a good thing, good luck bro on your quest to fiend the issue,
