FRRG Exclusive Event: Buttonwillow

Good day fellow Audizine members.

For those of you not familiar with FRRG, we are the "Four Ring Racers Group", and we are joined by one common bond; to DRIVE. We are a group of cohesive members who have been getting together over the last year to participate in breathtaking drives, and share our passion for driving.

Over the course of the past year we have seen our group grow in vast
numbers, while still adhering to our beliefs of quality members over
quantity. With our numbers growing, I believe it is necessary for us
to meet our fellow members, and what better way than to meet at the
absolute mid-point between Northern California/Southern
California...aka Buttonwillow Raceway.

On April 18th (tentatively), you will have the opportunity track your vehicle, meet
your fellow FRRG members, and be catered to hand and foot with 5-star
amenities.

So let's break this down:
-April 18th
-Buttonwillow Raceway 5 x 25 Minute Secessions w/ FRRG members only on
track
-Full Catering Service(from 9:30 A.M. -> ~6PM including Breakfast,
Lunch, Snacks, and Refreshments)
-Access to TWO full race garages(ie: shade/swap tires/eating bunkers ;-) )

PRICE:
-$300 for all that is listed above

In order for us to place a hold on the track it is necessary to
conduct a formal roll count to ensure that the money we fork over to
reserve the track session is not in vain. **Ie: Non-Refundable $150
Deposit.**

I'll find out about the deadline, but I believe it is fairly soon since we have to reserve the track. BSRPilot is handling most of the track stuff, so I'll get an answer from him within the next day. As for the dogs, i would imagine that's perfectly fine...as long as he's not driving

Leashed Dogs are allowed at Buttonwillow.

I wonder if they are allowed to ride shotgun....That would be interesting.

How often to you do events above socal?

I would LOVE to join you guys at buttonwillow. Im an experienced autox'er and have run a couple of track events with other cars. Buttonwillow has to be one of the best learner tracks in California.

Okay, so here's the deal. We're lookin for like 7 or 8 more people for this track day. FRRG is offering guest passes to those who are interested, thus you don't have to be a member to join. Again, the day is $300 for 5-25min sessions, plus it's fully catered! An amazing deal! Let me know if you're interested, hoping to get a great turnout and meet some new people

Will there be any instructors? Setting new drivers out on the track is not a smart idea your just asking for trouble.
Will the format be similar to a drivers ed day (a couple of cars on the track at a time, limited passing) or more like an open track day(all the cars on the track passing each other)?

Good questions. We will definitely have a few instructors out there for those who need or want them. I know a few people have voiced interest in them, so we're going to take care of that. The private instructor fee is $150, which will get you as much time as you like with a Speed Ventures instructor. We will also have a few members who are instructors out at the track. The format is set up for beginner to intermediate drivers, so it's lkind of in between a drivers ed and open track day. There will be limited passing (i.e. only on straightaways) and it will be controlled, but we also won't be putsin along on the course. We're trying to make this a fun experience where people can learn a bit as well. FRRG has always been about the safety and we continue to keep that in our philosophy. Just an FYI, we're running a group buy along with Genesis Engineering for helmets (Shoei) and gloves (Sparco), and Shoes (Piloti)! Anyone who is interested please let me know by the end of the week. Keep in mind Genesis must have the money at the time of order.
