New Big Brake Options for your A8 & S8 !

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Rotora has just released a new front BBK for both A8 & S8 in either 14" 2 piece rotor, 6 piston caliper fitment. Or the monster 15" 2 piece rotor 8 piston fitment for extreme applications. This is a complete bolt-on fitment with everything needed for installation included. With caliper color options of red or blue and rotor choices of slotted or drilled/slotted, the kit can be tailored to your taste at no additional cost. Of course, wheel fitment would need to be reviewed at the time of purchase.
    Key Features:
Rotora billet aluminum alloy 8 piston racing calipers with sequentially sized piston bore sizes engineered to each specific vehicle.
Rotora billet aluminum hat with "floating" disc assembly to reduce heat related stress and unsprung weight.
Rotora 2 piece vented heat treated directional vane disc system to improve airflow/cooling under severe braking. Slotted or drilled & slotted oversize discs (380x34mm) to ensure equal heat dissipation and increase thermal capacity while relieving the disc and brake pad surface free of excess debris.
Rotora ceramic formulated pads designed for extreme street and track application with high co-efficient of friction and high temperature fade resistance.
Rotora DOT compliant stainless steel braided brake lines to improve stiffer pedal feel and prevent brake hose expansion.

Retail priced at just $2425 for the 14" and $3325 on the 15", feel free to contact me for forum pricing, availability, and fitment.

    Better Brake Option, OEM Plus

    Hello-

I work at a small race car manufacturing company as an engineer and web designer. I own a D2 A8 as well as a few other Mk2 and Mk3 VW's.

I recently finished designing a 385mm front brake upgrade kit using all OEM parts with the addition of a CNC machined double sheer caliper bracket that I design and tested in CAD. Much stronger and safer then the single sheer caliper adapters that are currently offered.

The kit uses a 385mm, 15.1 inches, front rotor and a Porsche Big Red or Audi D2 S8 front caliper.

I should have the parts machined and available for sale in the next few weeks. All you will really need is my caliper bracket and you can source the rest of the parts directly from manufacturer, web, ebay, etc.

I will post pictures as soon as I have it installed on my Audi A8
Please let me know if you guys want any more info.

    Vivid racing-

I saw on Craigslist here in Arizona that you were hiring a new guy to handle all your website and form sales, make posts and offer new parts.

Its always tough to bring in a new guy so please don't take this as a bash or anything.

Let him know that he is adding 1 to many php "[IMG]" tags around your images when he is making your posts that that's why there are an extra open and close tag around all your pictures.

When you host on Photobucket the links they create already have the open and close tags in them.
Or use the direct HTML code if you are going to code the "[IMG][/IMG]" by hand

I appreciate the headsup. I'm actually the one handling the majority of the web/forum sales now.
I know what you're talking about with the [img] tags; this thread was posted before I took over Audizine, and I haven't gone through and fixed all the threads started by other employees.

Re: New Big Brake Options for your A8 & S8 !

Do you have a two piece replacement rotor only that can be used with the OE brackets or caliper carriers and and the OE calipers for an S8 (V10) that uses 385 x 36mm rotors?

I have a friend with an S8 that as gone through two sets of OE rotors and prefers to not upgrade the calipers but only the rotors.

    TIA

Same question here as last one...

I have the 385mm set up already on a W12--same as S8 basically. Are just the rotors available as a separate part, at what exact diameter (relative to the 385mm stock for this fitment), and at what price?

    Thanks.

Yeah - I'm surprised more aren't offered. It's a big car to slow down quickly.
