Question Clearing the headlight error w/o VAG

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Ok so my vag isnt working for some odd reason.. I recently as most of you know started having problems with my E-codes and the aim of the lights.. I took them apart and leveled them equally. Put them in my car, the adjusters equalize them, and then.... the headlight error came on!

AHHH! I tried to use VAG-COM but the stupid thing kept saying I needed it to be activated/licensed for it to work. So for the time being I removed the fuse so it would do that annoying BEEP and have that icon every time I drive it.. BUT I need to plug that fuse in again so that the lights aren't pointing in the air vs. the floor (where they should be) How can I clear it?

    THANKS!

check the wiring harness to make sure it is 100% connected. i had the harness come loose and it thru the 'dipped headlight' on the dash. otherwise you need to find someone that was willing to spend the money on the activated Vag-com software, chanel 55 will allow you to finish resetting everything.

Sorry trying to understand..how do you re-code your headlights? is this done through a vag-com?
My lights are aiming low and is throwing a light (circle with a "x" through it) not, the light shown above in the picture.

Is there a specific code or something?

No way around having to reset the auto leveling contoller in basic settings mode with a functional VAG-COM.
