You might have mounted the Ballast too close to something eles causing this to happen. Where are your ballasts located?

I mounted the ballast on the top right hand side of the headlight. Towards the drivers wheel well. Where is the best place to stick it?

Check your connections again..... OEM or Aftermarket if its not making a full connection this will happen... Check the connection from the ballast to the bulb...

money down the drain, money down the drain, and lastly.....money down the drain. There's a reason why the call dealerships, stealerships

which company did you buy from? Could be your connections, could be faulty equipment (sometimes it happens with VVME HIDs, so i hear). Sounds like faulty equipment to me : /

OEM lights are the way to go. They cost a little more but they are designed to work properly. If people just ordered/purchased their cars with OEM HID's people wouldn't have to screw with all these cheapo aftermarket kits that just don't fit or work right.

    Re: HID Help

I paid $500 for ecode housing, full set of ballast and new bulbs. Plug and play, works awesome, and are not menace to driving society.
I will say that geometry of aftermarket output is usually bad, you probably will piss people off. But audi uses projector lens, so it's not that bad.
After long bitching, I installed HID on my friends jeep. He's so bad, that people on third floor have their rooms lit.

    Re: HID Help

I have aftermarket HIDs in my joey modded headlights. They are great. Im in college too, so I feel your pain. I mounted mine behind the drivers side headlight and in the passenger side wheel well. Just use zip ties or double sided tape to secure and your good to go. I have been running mine for over a year and no problems and in my opinion they look better than oem. You can look good on a budget, it just takes a little more work. If you still have issues pm me and I can try to help further. GL.

    Re: HID Help

move the ballasts around and check your connections and make sure nothing is crimping the wires. i went aftermarket and have had NO problems with them except at the beginning when the brake light was on but since that day, not one issue. just make sure you plugged everything into the RIGHT slot, and no connections are crimped. :-)
