Swapping upholstery on door cards

I STFA and I couldn't find an answer to this one.

Ok, so AsianA408 and I swapped our seats (my silver Alcantera for his black leather). It went really easy. We would also like to swap door card upholstery and door handles to complete the swap. We'll be keeping our own trim as I like my aluminum and he has alcantera trim.



Is there a way to swap that stuff without doing the whole inside of the door?

When we pulled off a door card it looked as though the upholstery was plastic welded to the door card. I have seen people on here who have done custom upholstery so I was wondering how that was done.

best and easiest way is to swap door cards. just remove the clips for the trim and swap the trim

Yup, the aluminum trim is way easier to change than the fabric part. So just swap entire door panels, then swap out the trim pieces...
