Anyone want to make a free $15? I need someone with a 2001 giac k04 file

Giac wont upgrade me to BT file unless I am the original purchaser of the file. What happens is I bought my k04 file from another memer on here. Is anyone willing to provide me their vin to give to GIAC so they can do the upgrade for me? TIA

Yeah thanks. It sucks that I already spent the money for an apr chip and then again for a k04 file and the cost of ECU's. Its crazy. I wish I had Giac from the beginning.

I dont think thats going to work if it is a Flash file you are trying to upgrade, because IIRC they program the VIN number into the flash.

Just see how much they will charge you to upgrade you to a BT file. Not like upgrading from K04 file to BT file is free anyway.

usually, its 200 for the upgrade versus 600 for the full program.
