hey guys, I am in need of a new clutch ASAP. I wanted to see what you guys preferred as far as clutch set ups. I want the clutch to be streetable, yet hold enough power to do AWD launches. So far I am only on the big injector flash, and I want to keep my options open for a BT.

And also, do people get upgraded flywheels with the clutch? I thought the general concensus was to get a dual mass flywheel resurfaced, but some of the shops Ive talked to have said other wise. The flywheel takes the cost of the clutch from $550~ to almost $1K.

For the longest time I had my heart set on a southbend set up, but Ive seen people crap them out on the B6 forums. So I am kinda stuck on which way to go.....

I wouldnt go anything other than a SB stage 4 setup. With a lightweight steel flywheel. in the 15lb range. (Spec has a nice one)

    Re: clutch

my buddy ran a sb stg 4 with oem flywheel on his stg1+ setup, it is great. takes a bit more force to press but its good with launches. he would let me drive it and coming from my car (stock clutch) it took a few times to get it to engage smooth. if you plan on going bt its a great choice
