Im sick of the way the audi horns are, I feel like there so girly and not loud that I must upgrade...Obviously there are many options out there and Im just wondering what others think and maybe can help me choose but I am leading towards this :

There are also Hella Air Horns and other various. Thinkin this PA system could be fun tho as well..

    NIce...

I used to run the triple air horns in my MK4 GTI in the bumper...Itleast my placement now for my new horn will be in the spot where the stock airbox goes...

I ran these in my STi, LOUD!

only problem is.. there isnt really a good location to mount them.. I was trying to put them on when I had my bumper off to install the FMIC.. the stock horns are pointing sideways and are fixed with permanent clips, so its not threaded anywhere... plus you cant see em :/

a lot of the wrxs and sti's in this area are running 2 pairs of them (4 total), which i think is a bit overkill. but for real, these things are loud as hell. and if i honk these at a stop light, it startles the drivers around me. it's funny.

I used to have those Hella Supertones on my old Golf. They're awesome quality and are loud, but the pitch is a bit higher so it sounds really euro

if you're looking at getting a PA system instead of just a regular horn, get one that plays ice cream truck music. i put one in my cavalier a few years ago in high school... best $50 i ever spent. well maybe not quite the best, but sure was worth it just to see the disappointment on those kids' faces.
Excuse me sir, but you left your muffler at the light back there.

yeah our horns sound very euro... I prefer a ford truck type horn with a deeper sound. I'm assuming there is a poweramp that supplies a certain frequency to the speaker... maybe there's a way to just change that frequency for different sounds. I dont know if I really need anything "LOUDER" cuz it's plenty loud for me. I need a Bentley Manual

If it's similar to my Golf (which is likely) we have a harness which clips onto the OEM horn. I just cut the harness off, and brown=ground and hot color=power.

It's very easy, but you may need to make your own bracket which is also simple. I'll find a picture of what I did to my Golf later.

Nah, the horn just gets 12v power. There are two horns, one low tone and one high tone...pretty much the same as every other car....except for the asian cars with the tinny sounding horns. I think the B7 horn is pretty good actually.

Just wait til someone cuts you off... thats when you'll want something a little louder just to let them know what a jerk they've been

Hella horns don't care about polarity.

Had the supertones on my old Golf. Great. Then got the Hella Air horns... those are loud.

In the '75 Bronco that I drove for a bit, now just sitting at my parent's place, there was an ahooga air horn on it. It was a high quality one from the 80's, not the sick sounding ones you can pick up at Auto Zone now.

It was a great fit for that vehicle. It'd be so out of place on a B7 I wonder if it'd be even better or just plain wrong.
