Hmmm. Need to change the heat range?

My bosch F5DP0Rs work fine but I haven't tried them in -10F yet. Closest I've gotten is down to about 0 and cold starts and idle weren't a problem.

I would agree with that. I had issues running those plugs in the really cold when my car was my daily driver. Just throw in some 6E's. Stock plugs might even be fine right now being that cold. Funny to think I use 9ES's in my snowmobiles and they start up in sub zero temps. Takes a few more pulls though

Yup - i'm facing the same issues - I think i'm going to put in denso irridiums for now.... it starts and dies needs to do a few revs when it starts because it is idling under 1000 rpms rough

my stock oem plugs started up just fine in -8F this morning.

i have to replace them soon, any suggestions on which ones to get that'll survive this deep freeze and the northeast summer?

    Re: -10F and NGK-BRK7e's

I had some rough starts once the weather turned this past winter. The 7E's were in for barely 2k miles. I swapped in some new 6E's and it starts up and idles much better in cold weather. I doubt I'll go back to the 7E's but if I do it will be a winter/summer swap thing between the two.

12/23/09 - My car has been phenomenal to me. Runs strong. Don't think I'm ever going to sell it. Rather throw $7k into it for a refresh than buy a new A4 that has no dipstick.

While on the topic of plugs, can someone link me to those side firing Bosch plugs people keep talking about? And is anyone running them with APR Stage 1+?

PM me with how you like them (if you forget I'll try and get back to you within a couple days). I do have to keep in mind though that your temps are significantly warmer than mine right now, which might actually be a good thing. Thanks.
