No sound from all front speakers.

Ok so my friend was in my car today and asked me if i have my sound faded to the back. I said no and showed him on the RNS-E it was in the middle.

I faded it to the front and not a single speaker was working. I upgraded to an RNS-E from the sym. non-bose but cant recall if all the speakers worked before the install.

Any input on what could be causing this? No sound at all from the front no tweeters nothing. But the back worked fine. I was looking for a fuse but couldnt find one for just front speakers. Thank you.

The front speakers are powered straight from the RNS-E itself or at least should be. I would pull the RNS-E out and make sure that you have all the connectors hooked up and in the proper places. You can find wiring diagrams of it all on www.audiforum.us. If you search and can't find it let me know and I'll try to dig up the .pdf I saved a while ago.

Re: No sound from all front speakers.

You need to check connector II, which is the Symphony end. It should be the harness attached to your car.

You will also need to check connector A which should be plugged into the RNS-E itself.

Check to make sure you have that hooked up correctly.

It might be possible that you incorrectly hooked up connector A on the RNS-E to connector III on the symphony instead of connector II as they have the same number of pins.

Ok looking at the diagram and then my harness they look very different. I got mine from Euro-Parts.us. Mine only has 3 connectors coming off of it. A red and 2 blacks. My car is 2006 with non-bose and bluetooth.

Re: No sound from all front speakers.

My harness only has 3 connectors. It seems like i don't have anything that plugs into the brown connector off the symphony end.

Re: No sound from all front speakers.

I just bought a symphony II+ and ordered the harness from euro-parts.us and my front speakers don't work either. I emailed them tonight and hope they can figure this problem out quickly. I did notice that the sound was much better from the rears that worked. Hopefully they can just send me a new harness and it will work, it has to be a harness problem, I can't see it being anything else.
