eBay Stage3 Clutch/Chromo Flywheel sets

I'm looking for clutch kits...and found this on eBay...

Only $620 for stage3 clutch and lighter flywheel.
But it doesn't even mention who makes them.
What do you guys think about this?
Or should I just get RS4 clutch kit...

I have no clue if that clutch is any good but I can tell you that if you have a stage 3 car then stay away from the RS4 clutch. Unless you never plan on launching your car.

I would say don't cheap out on a ebay "stage 3" clutch that no one has, spend the extra $300-$400 and go with a vast stage 3 or SB stage 4 with a fidanza fw.

Friend of mine put one of those ebay clutches on his a6 2.7tt .. lasted about a week

I definitely would not get a clutch from ebay. Especially one that is labeled for a 99-05 S4. There are 2 different powertrain setups in the years they list and I doubt a clutch for a 2.7T works for the 4.2 motor.

Well that turned a $1,000 clutch set up into a $1,600 set up, sucks for your friend, guess he learned his lesson. There's only a select few items Ill buy on ebay for my ride, a lot of that stuff is sooo cheap, unless many guys are running a part with no problems I stay away.

Having done the work to install a clutch twice I can tell you it is definitely not an area to go cheap in.

like everything else on these cars, do it right the first time, because if you half ass it, it will UNDOUBTEDLY come back to bite you in the ass...

everyone says they wouldnt do something from ebay, but yet we buy a ton of stuff from ebay...how about the FMIC idea, people said no not ebay, what do you know ebay didn't disappoint then...how about the brakes from ebay....they didn't disappoint then. so we never know unless we try...or try and ask questions...ask who makes the clutch...ask what materials are used in this clutch....ask the warranty on parts if any....just ask then think about your options...

besides the comments listed above, the auction says the picture is the acutal item, which makes this a puck style clutch.. it's going to engage hard and last about 10-15K miles tops. full face clutches are the ones you want for dd

+1, puck clutches don't last long at all. I took mine out with 20k miles and it was shot.

Ebay clutch review.

In 2006 I tried one of these ebay clutch/fw kits. I bought it from another ebay company. ( http://shop.ebay.com/items/_W0QQ_nkw...romZR40QQ_mdoZ )I paid $449 for the kit that included a 6-puck, tob, pressure plate and flywheel.

The pressure plate included had Sachs stamped on it.

The clutch lasted 80k miles before it first slipped. This is with my wife driving the car (her first manual car by the way-- she learned to drive manual with this audi!!). She's a notorious clutch rider!!....lol

The clutch engaged like stock and i was able to powershift through 4 gears like an automatic. A few launches here and there at a few "redlight battles" that I had while borrowing the car. But for the mostpart driven mildly everyday.

Clutch had a random mild "squal" coming out of first gear for the first 15k miles, but then it went away.

For the money, I guess the clutch passed the test with flying colors. Not quite sure how long it would have lasted if I were drag racing the car at the track every weekend.

Now, I'm on the market for a clutch for my wife's a6 2.7t.

Do you guys have any suggestions for a clutch that can be beat on a little more in a heavier car??
