THey're all the same. There's always going to be a few people with problems with a certain kit or whatever but I really don't think one is superior to another. I have VVME and can vouch for them, but I couldn't say anything negative about any of the other brands.

    Re: hid kit 55 dollars?

Ive ran VVMEs and the bulb went out in 3 days, and the ballast was replaced twice in 2 months.

Ive heard good reviews and bad, all those kits pretty much source their ballasts/bulbs from the same places, so its just luck of the draw, you could be lucky or you could get a crappy set. VVME replaces them, however charges. I heard DDM sends out a replacement, you pay shipping, pretty much same all around. My buddy bought DDM highs and fogs and loves them on his Denali.

I have the slim ballast version of those. They're great and I haven't had any problems. It's totally worth the extra $10.

I woudlnt go any other route than OEM. Usually I am not like that, but everything fits into the factory location perfect.

It only cost shy of $300 (and that included $70 extra for some 6000k bulbs)

    Re: hid kit 55 dollars?

I have VME and have nad no issues. But FWIW, the Apexcone appears to have a better built ballast, and the slim ones are very nice. I have a total of 6 ballasts(both headlights and fogs) and they would have made alot easier.

Speaking of Apexcone I ordered my 55w slim ballast HID kit from SharpHID the other day... I read on the internet that those ballasts are built very well... Lets hope so....

    Re: hid kit 55 dollars?

i have been running my 35w hid kit from DDM for a week and couldn't be happier (unless i went with the 55w kit). they were a breeze to install and i have not had any problems with them yet.

x2! Quality control on some of those generic HID kits is flaky from what I've read.

Do any of those kits require any resistors? Or they both plug and play?
