Hey AZ Members, since you are all the best audi enthusiasts, I figured I'd let you guys pick. I have an '04 B6 S4, Light Silver, 6-spd, wood trim, black interior, ALL STOCK. I was wondering what everyone thinks I should do to it? I'm speaking in AVERAGE JOE talk, I dont have thousands of dollars to go spend. I'm talking about cheap tint, smoked lights, things like that. Also, if you know cheap coilovers or wheels and such. Also, any inputs on exhausts? Let me know. What size wheels, which weels, what finish? Help me out. Open to all opinions, need to make my baby special :) ... Thanks!

start with C/O's or a exhaust and DP's. whats your definition of "cheap"

VAST Dp's, flowmaster or magnaflow custom exhaust, drop shocks and springs, light tint, smoked lamin-x on the headlights and tails and get some spacers w/ the stock wheels.

should set you apart nicely from a stock s4

Your looking at 1k+ for the coilovers (not including labor), and at least 1k for a decent set of wheels, 150-250 for tint.

You have a heck of a stable to say you don't have "thousands to go spend".
Well anyways, IMHO, save up for a good quality components.
Exhaust or Coilovers for your first/second splurges would be my recommendations.

Now for wheels, you'll have many options from value priced replicas that look great to much more pricey options.
You'll need to do your own research here to narrow down your likes/dislikes.

As for cosmetics, you'll have a few relatively low to mid cost options; Grilles, tint & ecodes.

Haha. Nah guys, my dad uses this for himself alot. It's my name, he did some stuff on here for R8's. This is my S4... He doesnt give me shit (besides the car :0 :) ) so yeah. Idk I got like 1.5k to spend, trying to find the best bang for the buck. I'm really goin towards tints right now, definetly wheels, and what are spacers and what do they do?

spacers affect the offset of the wheel, bringing them farther out for a more aggressive stance. if you get wheels in teh correct width/offset you won't need spacers. If you keep stockers, buying spacers is an effective way to give the car a much more agressive look with the wheels pushed out towards the fender. 8.5 width on 245 tires +35 is flush in front, maybe a few mm in in the back.

best bang for the buck is H sport swaybars.... $400 shipped from tire rack and can be installed in your garage in under an hour... i promise you will not regret it!

Look on the classifieds every once in a while and you should see a used exhaust up there for a decent discount.... thats what i did...

Coils installed will take up all $1500.... but definitely a sweet mod!

Yeah honestly, the R8 is great, but I have more for my Porsche. Even though the R8 is pretty much a Lambo, for some reason Porsches are just so sweet sounding and all around awesome to drive. I'm looking into the M6 as well. I'm a car fanatic, I have to stop spending money before the wife chops me up. My kids like it though so we'll see what happens

I took the Black / Black Diesel Excursion to NYC yesterday with a driver. It was like the secret service. It's black on black pretty tinted. I'm 100% I'm keeping that.

I don't love the tinted windows idea, for he is a new driver. But I already got him an exhaust and am buying either real or rep. Rs4 wheels, to keep the audi look.

Hey guys, here's an update.I have the R8, 583 miles on it. Have the porsche, S4, no G-wagon, got rid of the S430 and SL500 got an 08 S63 AMG. Got rid of the 5 series - didnt like it enough, and also the G-wagon. I'm looking to buy a new range rover sport supercharged, and also an S8 or A8 for my wife , thats it. Keeping the M3, love it. By the way, to let all of you know, it was a choice between the bentley or mercedes, S63 much worth it.

blah blah blah...I spent $400,000 on new cars (but can't spend more than $1,500 on the S4). I like the part about selling the 5 series 30 days after buying.

Hey everyone, 2 weeks ago I purchased my first Audi. It's a 2004 S4. Silver on Black, 6 spd. manual. I have about $2k I am willing to spend, no more. I was thinking about exhausts, but I realized Its already loud enough, and with the money I have, now it's time for appearance. When I say I have $2k to spend, that's not including wheels. So I just need some suggestions. I want coilovers, to drop it about an inch. If I do that, would 20" rims be to big? It has the 18"s on it now, so I was thinkign 19's or 20's. Also, if you guys could put some input about some cool looking 19 or 20" wheels, that would be awesome. So basically, what coilovers, wheels, possibly body kits could I get. And something else, does anybody know where to get an Ipod Integration kit? Thanks in advance - Zach
