    Weekend of modding

Long weekend coming up with 4 days to do nothing so I've decided that I'm jealous of everyone with nice mods, and another DG B6 convinced me to debagde, so I'll be doing that first.
Then, since I just got new tires (spur of the moment/emergency thing) getting a new set of wheels right now is out of the question soooo. Ill be painting my stock wheels something arounddd gunmetal. Ive read up on all the tuts and DIY's but are there an secret techniques or tips for these mods that might help me out this weekend?

take your time on the wheels. light coats. dont rush yourself, youll be happier in the end

if youre not familiar with using spray paint, id suggest you try it on something other than your wheels to get the hang of it

    Re: Weekend of modding

my only tip for spraying the is to take long even strokes and hold the can about a foot away... also a easy way to paint fairly quick and make it look good is to do "flash coats" by going over the entire wheel once as evenly as possible, let that sit for 10 min then come back and repeat.. it will take a couple of times to get everything covered but from my experience you will get the best results

if you want to speed up the drying you can also use a heat gun but if you have the time just let the paint dry on its own

    Re: Weekend of modding

I've been wanting to do a group weekend mod session. I don't know if anyone has the space for it, but it might be fun. The only thing I have coming up is an Rs4 rear sway though.
