Colder than cold!!!

B6 are very good in cold, It started easily at -31 this morning!! the car wont roll so the tranny oil and bearing are cold!!! LCD screen wont display anything for a while... Shifter was stucked in hard oil... Heater took 15min to heat... Winter is very hard here in Quebec!

Wow, -31? I used to live in Peterborough, Ontario, so I'm used to cold weather, but that's still pretty chilly. My A4 took a second to really get warmed up down here. It was around 2 degree's Fahrenheit, which would be around -17 Celsius, this morning.

Yeah, beginning of January up here in Edmonton... it was like -35! ahh, yes my b6 started just fine. but shifter was locked up for 20 minutes. haha

I'm in Minnesota, today's high was -10. Nice. I'm having trouble putting the actual shifter into first gear...I physically have to force it into gear. Is this normal?

happens all the time if its cold outside and the car has been sitting overnight. put it in reverse instead of using the e-brake if your car is on a level surface.

Same boat as most of you. 8 degree's Fahrenheit when I left for class at 7 today.. Hard to shift and took for ever for the car to warm up.
The last couple of days here in Buffalo weve been in the teens. My roommate (He also has a B6 A4) and I keep having are ESP lights come on in this cold and it will not shut off until you restart the car. Anyone else having this issue?

It was about 9F this morning, and my car fired right up like it was a summer day. Gotta love the Optima Red Top I put in a couple months ago! The shifter was a bit tight after letting it idle for 10 minutes, but not too bad, as I just had the tranny and diff oil changed along with my clutch job. :)

Don't you guys have issues at that temp? I mean if I press on the gas pedal, the engine sputters and almost stalls. I have to drive about 500ft before it will "take" gas pedal imput. But it starts fine...

-9 degrees Celsius right now and I could definitely feel the difference in the Audi this morning. The clutch, shifter, brakes, and accelerator all felt really stiff and slow until the car reached operating temperature. Even the CD/radio unit's display was slow to transition from displaying one thing to the next. I can never remember NC being so cold in the 14 years I have lived here.

Well hell, if everyone else is piling on...it's a balmy 76 in SD right now with a predicted average of 77 over the next 5 days.

Although it does get pretty cold at night...all the way down to mid 40s! :)

It was about -20 deg C (-4 F) as of late here in Toronto. My car started like a champ, warmed up fairly quickly, and had no issues with the road either, thanks to my Bridgestone Blizzaks!

The only issues I had to contend with were my slower-moving-than-usual windshield wiper blades (man, when it gets real cold, they slow down to a crawl!) and a plastic rattling coming from underneath the car when it's crazy cold out. Other than that, my B6 runs like a champ!
