Here is the original thread on the b6 forum. I'm in SoCal but not really close to anyone.

Just looking here to see if someone with more knowledge than me on this (which isn't saying much)...might be available between now and sunday for a road trip and help me try and figure out what the hell is going on cause I'm stumped. Name your price if available to help! (within reasons of course) gas, food, beer, place to stay that sort of thing. Oh yeah, and I'm in 29 Palms.

Have you done a compression check yet? Also, have you checked your oil for milkshake?

I didn't even think about this being a sludge problem; and no I'm not sure on how-to with the compression check or if I have the tools available for it.

    Re: Possible Help...

You will need one of these to do a comp. test:

Basically you pull the fuse on your fuel injectors, remove the coilpacks/spark plugs and screw the tester in like you would a spark plug and try cranking over your engine until it doesn't build anymore pressure.

And not really a sludge problem, but if you have a blown head gasket you would most likely have coolant in your oil (i.e. milkshake), and that could explain your troubles.
