Thumbs up The deal I signed on a A4 S-LINE

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hope this helps someone that is in the market for a similiar car, I think I got a good deal. 2009 A4 2.oT. 6 speed manual, Brillaint Black, Navigation, Prestige , S-LINE(interior/exterior) MSRP $45,775, Edmunds TMV pricing $45,474, Invoice $42,582. I finally talked the dealer down to final cost of $41,855.40. The residual was %51, and the money factor was .00169. 36 month lease at 12k a year. I put the tax and fees up front totaling $3,200 and the final lease payment was $635.00 a month($650.00 for automatic). I went to numerous dealers here in New York and a few in New Jersey and this was the best deal i could find. In fact a few dealers wouldnt even match the price. Keep in mind that i got the numbers on the last day of decembers rates and i think they went up a bit....but if you sign on a car now and the numbers are down when you pick up the car you are entitled to those numbers instead. Good luck and I hope this helps

Welcome to Azine! That is a fantastic deal, only made possible by the fact you negotiated it prior to 1/5/09. Is this car on the ground or when do you expect delivery?

Not sure about that price on a lease...then again I would never lease a car. You're going to spend +$26,000.00 over the 3 years with your down payment and still owe $21,400.00 at the end of the lease (which you will likely need to finance unless you pay cash or walk way from $26K spent - additional $1200) coming close to $49,000.00 when all is said and done (and you WILL go over 12K/year in miles). And how did your tax and fees come to only $3200? Are you saying all tax and fees were only 7.5%, where are you located?

This is my 4th lease and i have never gone over 12k a year, so im pretty confident in that area. Also, I am looking at the lease order right now and the exact price of tax and fees minus the registration fee which is inexpensive is $3,356.97. You may not like to lease but i enjoy trading in for a new car every couple of years if i decide to buy the car after lease i always have that option although i do understand that buying upfront is more cost effective i still like the lease option

nothing wrong with leasing if you like going through new cars every 3-4 years..

i leased a premium plus.. nicely equipped for

    $360 down (only license fees)
they paid first payment of $520

and i have this lease for 35 more months for $520/month.
$520 includes tax and audi care. i think i did pretty well.

no, with the s-line you get more aggresive front and rear bumpers, side rocker moldings, 19 is-line wheels, chrome exhaust tips, and the interior is different. and s-line badges. i think it changes the look of the car...its mostly cosmetic

It's pretty much the same body bits as the S4, definitely more aggressive. Plus the highly superior seats and brushed aluminum trim.

And I don't purchase brand new cars either, lease only. Purchasing is best for used/certified cars. But that's just me. I do understand the points made about "throwing money away" on a lease, but one also throws quite a bit of cash out the window the second they drive a newly purchased car off the dealer lot. Points can be made either way. What's right for one person isn't necessarily the right solution for another.

Here is what my order sheet says when I placed it in regards to difference between the the 19" Sport Package (which is what I have) and the full sline sport package:

" 19" Sport Package - 19" S line wheel, high-performance tires, 3-spoke sport steering wheel, shift paddles (for Tiptronic models), Sport front seats, Sport suspension "

" S-Line Sport Package - 19" S line wheel, high-performance tires; 3-spoke sport steering wheel, shift paddles (for Tiptronic); S Line bumpers and side rocker moldings, Front sport seats with leather bolsters, alcantara inserts, and S Line embossed logo; Sport suspension; Brushed aluminum interior trim; S line door sill inlays; S line badges on fenders; black headliner."

So you can see that the S-line package is really most cosmetic vs. the 19" Sport package. I do like the look with the side rocker moldings but the rear and front bumpers difference is not very noticable, was not willing to spend the extra $$ just to put S-line logos all over the thing w/o an improvement in performance...

You decide if it's worth it or not.

It supposedly costs less money overall to lease it. Plus, you don't have to go through the hassle of selling it in 3-4 years.

Yes, everything in the lower package is included in the upper package just like everything in the prem is included in prem+ and everything in prem+ is in the prestige and so on. only stand alone options are navigation and drive select with several other small exceptions..

If you are considering the sport package with the 19" s-line wheel option for another 1,000 you can get the full s-line package. In my opinion that is the way to go....the interior of the s-line is beautiful and the bumpers in front and back(although subtle) adds to the aggresive stance of the s-line. In my opinion its a good extra grand to spend

Any of the sport packages are a bargain considering what is included for what you pay for them. They really transform the car into a driver. If it were me I'd go with the S-Line.

how would you save on the payments? wouldnt leasing payments would be cheaper than financing payment? i swear theres a lease vs. purchase thread in every car forum, and at the end of all those threads, its just preference and how long you keep your car. if short term, im pretty sure leasing is the better hassle free way.
