Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I am debating on stealing the b7 look a bit.. My car is the sport a4, so why not get the S-line badges for it? right?? Before I do I wanted to ask you guys who have them, to post some pics.. I am interested in getting the grille, and two rear door badges... what do u guys think? ... Since im not quattro status my grille is pretty empty...

    thanks

Re: S-Line badges on b6 post pics

well.. future mod=usp front bumper and s4 rear.. so it will kinda give off that USP look.. then im getting new rims (i think ima get usp ones, or rs6 reps) ... this is all after I get my TB, Valves, and lifters replaced in... Once I see how much $$ i have left, the modding will resume.. for the time being though it will stay like this

if u don't have a 100% factory USP with the triple stitching and stuff DO NOT put S-Line badges on, and don't add badges period.

Re: S-Line badges on b6 post pics

The USP in the UK is a S-Line and badged on the door on a quattro and not on the grill or boot/trunk. FWD either had a S-Line badge on the trunk but then not on the doors or on the doors but not the trunk and never on the grill only the B7 got grill badges.

18" RS6 rims came stock on the late S-Line.

One last thing S-Line badge was also found on the steering wheel.

It will look incredibly fake to place those badges all over a normal A4. If you have a real USP, I see no problem with it.

its one thing to put a USP bumper or an S4 bumper but as soon as you start putting sline badges on a car that isnt an sline then thats just stupid... im putting an S4 front bumper on my car but im not gonna call it a S4 and start putting badges on it from the s4

False, 05 USP's have Sline badges on them.

Frey, don't put sline badges on your car. It'll look cleaner without them, and you wont look like a tool trying to be something your not with cheap badges, aka a ricer .

Re: S-Line badges on b6 post pics

before i say anything im not mocking your idea just curious as to where its coming from.

first off, whats so special about a badge anyway?
s-line is just a newer USP, if im mistaken please correct me.
If your getting a usp front and an s4 rear what the significance of calling it s-line when nothing on it is, S-line.

IMHO i would not do it, to each his own but i think its a silly idea. if you did the b6-b7 conversion then i could see you calling it s-line but nooooo wayyyy......b6 is way to sleek looking to kill its style.

dont mean this in an asshole way but, if all you want is some s-line badges, why not just trade in use all the money you were going to spend on all this stuff and go buy a 05.5 or 06 b7 s-line?

Re: S-Line badges on b6 post pics

because late model b6 USPs came with Sline badges, and with a USP front, it would look somewhat like one.

some people like adding lips and spoilers, i guess he likes badges.

gullatc, you can get them from the dealer, but theyre going to rape you on the cost. ebay all the way

Re: S-Line badges on b6 post pics

    ^ no they didn't.

I have one of the latest built 2005 USPs, just before they began rolling 2005.5 B7s off the line. My car only came with ONE S-Line badge and it's on the steering wheel. If your USP came with other S-Line badges they were placed on by the previous owner or dealership.

Euro models may have been badged S-line all over, but not the USPs brought to the US. The pic 4 posts up is a euro model. Notice the wheels and lack of amber lenses.

btw . . . the very first eurospec B6 S-lines did not have the ultrasport bumpers, aero kit, and had unpainted lowers. so there are OEM s-lines that are not ultrasports . . . just not in the US. FWIW.

Damn dont listen to these guys OP. Seriously if hes going to put USP kit on his car anyways whats the matter? USP badges are not like S4 badges. theres no freaking difference in the cars mechanically. Its not like you would even be able to notice it wasnt a genuine USP if you saw it driving down the road

Do 2 inch peices of plastic really piss you all off that much??

2nd.. only on the steering wheel to my knowledge from factory in 2005. like that on mine, steering wheel only.

OP, .. imo.. whatever makes you happy its your car... fine print: but putting S4 badges on an A4 is not acceptable.

Re: S-Line badges on b6 post pics

I almost put them on, bought them on eBay, had them for a few weeks and thought about whether or not to put them on...

    conclusion:

    - they dont look all that great
    - even with my USP front and S4 sides, it's not a s-line
    - you will still be missing all the s-line upgrades on the inside.
    - i'm debadging anyways, this is going the wrong way

Sold them and have no regret.

I say go for it if you want. People on forums tend to have nothing better to do than talk shit and really, how many of them do you hang out with regularly? If you think it looks good do it up, but I wouldn't ask for much help around here. If something doesn't follow people's personal taste then it's wrong.

I agree with this. I love to talk shit myself, but do what the fuck you want. I get annoyed by the sissies who need our permission to do something "right".

Just post pics of your mods and we'll flame your ass if you made a mistake...FYI, do enough research on the mods that can't be reversed very easily or inexpensively.

I have an 05 USP and I agree with Kirk. No badges attracts more attention than having them. If I met you and you had S-Line badges on your car I wouldn't care. You're driving it, not me so do what makes you happy man. As long as you're happy with it, do it. If you're going for the full USP conversion though, you'll need more than badges.
