It's hard for me to describe because with skills anything can be formed. My goal was to try and make the front and back look as if the assembly was factory made, and also to make sure the high beam was directed correctly and not off in some random direction.
There was a lot of fiberglass moulding (almost like building a speaker box) before I even got in to the CF overlay. As such, the back side looks a lot like the back side of a custom speaker box. Wasn't any need to sand smooth and finish since it won't be seen, however it doesn't look ghetto.
Here is what the housing looked like last week. They are dusty, but you get the idea. Even the inside of the lens is covered in dust. I was taking pics of most of the CF work I've done while the pieces were still off the car:
Here is the inner trim portion of the headlight where the LEDs are located (it isn't finished yet and needs more buff-out):
Here are the headlight portion that everyone usually joey mods (you can see the moulded in strip where the LEDs mount in) and my lower center grille with CF border. I was holding off on letting the pics out until I have everything back on the car, but what the hell:
(Just wanted to stress again that I know there are imperfections- most of it is dust, and the rest have been buffed out further in the process.... before the "I see a mistake" haters jump on board)
