New B7 Owner from OZ

Hey Guys,

Thought I’d introduce myself since I was lead here through a link about lights on the ozaudi forum and must say the site looks great. Seems like more info and the people also seem more relaxed. Like for example I was just asking the question about getting a copy of an Audi DVD with Australian maps as a hypothetical because I’m considering buying a rns-e unit off ebay which either come with a US or Euro DVD and Audi Australia want $1000 for the OZ disk. So I ask if the disks can be copied like other DVD’s and they all came down on me with “you know it’s illegal to copy DVD’s” umm yeah…
On this site however I’ve found people posting torrents
Anyway seems like this is a better home for info and likeminded Audi heads.

I have always loved Audi’s and my first and only Audi was a 1981 80 5+5. However just before Christmas I bought a B7 2.0T Manual with 40,00k’s at an auction and am loving it. This is also the first car where I am looking at a lot of mods. In the past I’ve left my cars fairly stock but have moded the crap out of my bikes. I own 3 at the moment and I’m an X semi-pro stunt rider. So I know my bikes but am a bit green when it comes to moding cars and Audi’s especially so I will have the usual and boring newb questions to throw at ya’s.

looking pretty clean. i dont know the answer to the navigation disc question but i would like to know the best way to get them too.

nice! good to see another aussie round here (i'm one too, shhh) but i live in the US... those cars are so damn expensive in oz lol, hence why everyone was like "oh that shits illegal blah blah blah" cos they're rich pricks (generally)

oh and i better umm, warn(?) you... the search button is your friend helps with newbie questions so you don't get flamed by ppl sick of seeing the same questions.

Audi’s are expensive here? Mate every F’in car that’s not a ford or holden is expensive here.
Its nuts. Every time I traveled to the US it would hurt me inside!! Cleaners over there drive what we call “fancy” cars. Then there’s 0% finance!!!
My previous car was a top of the range V6 VW Passat that I bought 2 yrs old and it was considered pretty low scale over there and the cost even when doing the exchange rate was like half what I charged. Then there’s the aftermarket and parts price differences…Anyway enough ranting about that.

Yeah I thought the anal response on copying was also partly to do with it being an Aussie site. I used to get the same with the bikes sites I went to. Being a stunt rider the aussie forums would always chastise me for mentioning anything dangerous that broke the rules of the road because they had all been indoctrinated by the revenue raising campaigns disguised as safety. L platers with 1 months experience under their belt telling someone with 20+ yrs experience and doing shows at race events what is the right way to ride So many wankers and keyboard know-it-alls.

So yeah the long answer to your question about where I live is St Kilda.

i did my own research and it came down to me not finding any torrent that has seeds. the 2007 north america seems like the hot ticket but no seeds. any luck with anyone else?

Finally, a 3/4 angle pic of a silver car that looks good - two factors that have never flattered this front-end addition. I still need to get mine painted, damn I'm lazy...
