Exclamation Stage 1+ CVT acceleration video,.. pretty fast

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I just took this video when I got off work, tell me what you'll think. It seems fast for a Stage 1 +, but I think it's because the CVT has less drive train loss. I'm happy with it.
There are more videos to come! Oh and even though I have traction control off, there is still some sort of traction control holding it back. Watch in the first clip how at 40 the rpms go down, pauses then goes back up. now watch on the second clip, it did not do this. And On the first 0-60 I just left off the break and went wot, I did not launch it or anything.
    Enjoy

Re: Stage 1+ CVT acceleration video,.. pretty fast

    looks very good :)

I finally just got around to installing my 2nd meth nozzle tonight. I wasn't expecting it to do much without timing advance, but it feels a bit quicker... the manifold was cold with just the single nozzle in the intercooler piping, but with the nozzle at the TB as well, it is ICE cold. I can't wait to get in and mess with the timing.

Haha yeah it has some kind of traction control system where you cant turn traction control completely off, notice how it pauses at 40? Il try to get a good launch with minor wheel slippage so it doesent kick it. i bet if i do that ill be running a 5.5 0-60. right now im runing a 6 with that pause.

Conroe, I laughed at your Southern voice, but it's ok cause I'm sure people think I have it as well, but I really think you need a boost gauge to see if the injectors are possibly not pumping out very well at a certain RPM and you are loosing power. But you, if you get a TP, Exhaust, and FMIC, you will def. feel a difference! I just got my +1 done Tuesday and I am VERY happy with it!

He's running the Siemens injectors rather than the "recommended" APR or OEM TT225 ones - think it makes a difference?

Wouldn't think so. I have some really cheap 375CC(36LB) Bosch injectors for my GIAC tune, and they are perfectly fine. I know he bought them used, so that's why I said that...

the APR file is pretty picky. quite a few people had problems with cold starts and idling with the 380cc injectors but i dont know about stuttering like that

That's why I'm always trying to see how APR people like their 1+ with non-TT225 injectors. Still can't decide if I'm going to cheap out and get "non-APR-approved" injectors.

But for everyone who was aking, the siemens have been working grat. Its been around 29 degres here in the mornings starts no problem. Before i had the injectors it idled very roughly at like 700 rpm, now it idles at 85--900 and is VERY smooth. I love them.
