Who told you that nonsense? I've used 116 octane that was sitting there for 6 months in my old race car with no issues - as have other people I know with race cars.

Gas goes bad when it's sitting in a car, not a sealed container.


A1 pumps their gas out of 55 drum barrels - I'm sure some of them sit there for a while.

...so what are some good mixtures for a cheap meth solution, I was told 50/50 mix of distilled water and Heet in the yellow bottle, but a case was $42 and only got 10-11 bottles per gallon, what is recommended.

Just buy a can of M1 Grade Pure Methanol for $40-45 and a few gallons of distilled water and you are good to go for quite a while.

I just used regular tap water.

The only reason why its not recommended to use that is because of the mineral content in the water. Don't want to cause any build up within the lines or in the intake track.

just get some Wal-mart Supertech -25F washer fluid (38% meth) add two yellow bottles of HEET gas line antifreeze (99.8% meth) to one gallon of Supertech and your at 47.8% meth for just over $3.00 per gallon. thatt gets u close enough to a 50/50 mix..... sounds crazy but it works and its cheap hahaha... also if u wanna spend money, at snowperformance.com u can get boost juice pre-mix bottles.....

Meth burns very slow, it's almost an invisible flame. I think if you dropped a cigarette in a gallon of meth it might even go out.

I like my method better.

Buy a 5 gallon container of M1 methanol for $45. Then buy 5 gallons of distilled water (~$0.89 each). That brings you to less than $50. That works out to be about $5 per gallon and you have an exact 50/50 mix of pure methanol & distilled water without all the extra dyes and detergents that are in windshield wiper fluid.

^ yea boosted, your method is deff better .... just showing the cheapest way hahaha... personlay i would prob just spend the money and get pre-mix bottles for snow or coolingmist....
