    Personally I don't know but you're lucky that the turbo broke already in a way. I'd rather have a turbo break under warranty and have a new one vs. having one break @ 80 or 100k miles when you're out of warranty most likely.

    Lol good point, so how does one go about breaking a turbo on purpose? Raising boost to ridonculous amounts?

    well appearanty i went into 6th and floored it so it holds full boost spike to long and its not safe for our little turbos ... well thats what i think happened

    my GTI was running spike 23lb of boost holding at 20lb of boost on my tiny stock turbo for 50k miles, still haven't replaced the turbo (brother owns the car)

    Get the car up to temp, go to a parking lot redline the car hold it for a 20sec then immediately shut the car off, wait 20 min repeat about 10 times.

    The turbo should be all coked up by then. Then have it towed to audi an be like i dun know what happened.

    took the dealer 1/2 a day to replace mine when i had my gli.
    2007 A4 S-Line / Ti Pkg / Quattro / Bilstein Pss9 / JHM Short shifter / GIAC X+ chip / RS4 rear sway bar / 20% rear tint / 10mm front 15mm rear spacers / Forge DV / DTM CF replica rear lip spoiler / DTH CF roof spoiler / Cupra R front spoiler (not on) / Infinity BasslinkII sub
