    B6 S4 Clear Corner PROBLEMS!!!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Welp I got my headlights out, tried baking them at 170 degrees for 7 minutes, glue didnt even soften up.
Checked out the A4mods method of drilling the outside tabs off, and that does not look possible.

Anyone have any tips to get the Amber reflector out, or how to get the lens separated from the backing???

    TIA!

the drilling is easy....getting the lens out....hmm

what I did was put the lens so the curve is facing up and pull it out under the high beam I think....takes a little patience but after the first one the next one is EASY

Have a friend hold the housing while you get a set of long needle nose plires, snap the reflector with the plires into smaller pieces...shake em out, pull em out, there are cracks the pieces WILL come out. Just take your time. BTW..JMO, fuck baking your lights! I never did on either of my Audis, who wants moisture problems..??

Re: B6 S4 Clear Corner PROBLEMS!!!

they are officially done!!! just gonna call it a night tonight. Ill blow out the lamp tomorrow and probably spray the bulb as well.

I ended up banging the lens loose and ghost whip was right.. you have to turn your lamp upside down and finagle the lens so that one of the skinny ends goes right above the high beam reflector and you can pull it out with your fingers after that.

Now that that is done how attractive did you guys dress up the holes that were created?
I plan on using just a tiiiiiiiiiny dab of black silicone, what have you done?

Thanks for the responses guys!! Really saved some aggravation!!

use a marker to black out the inside (drilled part) of the holes then fill with silicone. I actually need to re-do some more silicone now that I think about it....

I'm glad you're taking the spray method to the turn bulbs (as on a4mods). a very light coat works perfectly well and saves the 20+ dollars for the "stealth bulbs"

Re: B6 S4 Clear Corner PROBLEMS!!!

bumper removal is not necessary for the b6 but i am removing it anyways since i am doing my snub mount as well. The CC mod is going to be very worthwhile.. esp for a $5 mod.

I may also get my bumper painted while its off and throw in some new fog light bulbs. Might as well go all out while the car is apart.

I just need my garage to warm up! its freeeezing
