    once upon a time...

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I threaded one of the bolts on my stock rear rim..

Already tried removing it with smaller size sockets..used torque wrenches and impact guns..wd40 and all..

After all that and hope seemed lost..I started to visit the shops here in the neighborhood..
    -tires plus =no
    -martino tires =no
    -robertos tire plus =no

So what's left besides selling the car??

    Re: once upon a time...

Worst case scenario - replace the hub. Not worth selling the car at all.

So you mis-threaded it, or rounded off the end? Cause trying to "removing it with smaller size sockets" threw me a loop.

    Re: once upon a time...

Situation happened with mine, was my back left wheel, and 2 of the 5 got stripped. Got towed to a dealer, then got them out for 200$, better than paying 500-1000 for a new hub they quote me.

NEW HUB...Maybe u can claim it, did u hit any pot holes lately

I stripped the bolt and since it got rounder I was able to use smaller socket sizes..
    Which didn't work..

--> where do they sell that grab it thing?

P.s. I wasn't really thinking of selling my car..just a dramatization of how crazy this is making me..even though that rs4 option doesn't sound all that bad..lmao

    Re: once upon a time...

when it happened to me I thought it was the end of the world...maybe cause it happened when I waited 3 weeks for my new rims, and on the last rim, it happened to :(

Take it to Wolfcars, and they would have that bolt out in a few mins, just mention me, and they will take good care of you.
