CEL Help

Hello all. I have a 04' a6 2.7 and recently my CEL came on. I went to Autozone to have the codes spit out and this is what came out.

P0421
P0159
P2098

The only modification done to my car is Piggies, which I did 2 months ago. I kept the stock locations for the o2 sensors. I used defoulers from one of the DIY on piggies. The only thing else that is not stock on the car would be a K & N filter. (not cone style) and Darintake.

Is there anyone in the Northern Virginia or D.C area that can help me? Thanks for any help.

Sounds like your defoulers are not working properly, they are a fix but do not necessilary work for all people.

Your best best would be to either move the 02 sensor behind the main cats or have your ecu recoded.

or just ignore the cel. are you on a stock tune?

Is that what those codes pretty much mean? I am getting my exhaust done soon, so should I have them plug the stock o2 sensors right before the main cat and relocate them to after the main cat? On one of the autozone print outs of those codes it mentioned a cause could be that a boost leak or that it was runnin lean. Is there anyone in the area that has VAG and can help me see whats going on.

bingo, have then plug the stock locations and relocate to behind the main cats.

p0159- o2 open circuit.

don't know what the other codes are.

Personally, I would just by a ~$12.00 cable from ebay and vag-it yourself. Its a cable worth its weight in gold.

check out your codes here. It doesn't have everything but it can help if you just get the codes read.
