bought b6 3.0 quattro need tuning

hi i have purchased a 2003 3.0 quattro and i want to make it look good an fast i was thinking about gettin rear koenigseder bumper( cant find one anywhere) and rieger front end or rsd, as with the performance mods i want to know whats the best exhaust for the 3.0(magnafow,neuspeed,borla??) and as for the wheels im goin to go with sevas s star staggered and stretch the rear tires also ive been thinking about flaring fenders helps needed thanks

3.0 eh? I own one and I've given up on trying to make it go fast. but as for looks, you need to drop it. other than that, i'd say rims?, suspension?, exhaust?, chip?, other than that there's the expensive option of gettin a s/c but wouldn't you rather get a s4? I mean i love my 3.0q but making it go fast isnt going to happen without going broke fast. I'd say that you are probably going to be spending enough on keeping the car running that you will forget about modding the car. :P have fun. if you have enough money to keep the car running and have any spare money left, have fun with the s/c and the extra money you will be spending on the engine.

coilpacks, ps rack just to name a couple. smalls things go awry with audis. wheel speed sensors, coolant temp gauge going crazy, engine mounts and tranny mounts. not to shabby of a car just that it costs more than it would cost to fix a toyota.

Shocks
Exhaust
Intake
Brakes
Side skirts
Body kits (front and rear)
PES G3 S/C

All these things can help with looks and performance but keep in mind the 3.0 is a fat pig.

you can do an intake($350), chip($500ish), and exhaust(1200) and that will still only yield about 10-15hp gain at the most. thats 2 grand for 10hp. so you can forget makeing your 3.0 fast.

just get some magnaflow mufflers to make it sound nice

^^ its all about the s5! lol ... But at the OP to answer your question, there isnt much, I just live with the power I got with my mods and what it came with ... Im looking into buying a 1.8t A4 (b6 of course) and finally getting my hands dirty in the mod scene !!

My goal: 300HP.... something impossible with a v6 unless u drop 5k and S/C it.. while I can spend like 2k and get that power out of a measly inline 4! lol

at least its a 6 speed. just buy an intake and exhaust, maybe even a chip and be done with it. You'll have a sick sounding car and performance wont be too shabby

+2 i pretty much have the same car as you. So far ive done tint rims ecodes, roof spoiler and hoen fog lights.

to come: coilovers, exhaust, USP front, paint lowers. maybe door blades.

Forget the rest, go straight to supercharger. It's the only performance mod worth anything. And rear RS4 sway bar. Exhaust, CAI and chip are waste of money, the only thing you notice is louder noise and lighter wallet. If you must, choice something already build for 3.0 rather than custom built. Miltek and Borla they both made exhaust for 3.0.

The one sold by PES, Nimiski (sp?) has a used one for sale. If you go that route, only go with a custom tune, do not use the software from PES. If you go that route, you'd get a hell of an upgrade for less than 4k.

G3? Everybody tells me to stay away from it. I heard few popular stories of quick way to ruin 3.0, get PES. I know few people that have it running with great success, but usually for a pricey tag.

Contacting them would be the best way to find out. From what I've seen though, the price is very reasonable.

i have a catback from awe on my 3.0. not much in the way of performance, but it sure sounds good. save your money, don't waste it on an intake. just drop a k&n filter in it and you'll get the most gains for the least amount of money.

g3 is our only option as far as go-fast, though. and it's pretty pricey. i love the car anyway, though.
