    Hello,

My wife is prego and i need to get out of my 2007 Corvette.

My car has 17000 miles..and wholesales at 35.5KCAD

And based on KBB suggest value is showing 41K USD.

I have local guy who is wanting out of his 2004 A8L every option possible..with 33K miles.

I am giving him a deal i think...i said trade and he gives me 6K CAD on top.

Whats your guys thoughts on this deal?

The KBB suggested value on the A8L was 29K plus the 6K Cash.

    Is this a good deal?

Anything i need to be concerned with on the A8's for 2004?

i believe the 04 model of the A8 is supposed to be more problematic than the 05+ models. give it a day or so and you should have a few more replies. if you don't get enough information from here, you should post the same thing on audiworld.com because that site has a much larger community of A8 owners.

Nice to hear that now that I own an 04.. LOL

If the TCU is replaced or re-programmed, the decklid hinges replaced and all the factory service done to qualify for CPO, what should I be worried about?

I have a 6 year 72k fidelity warranty on top of the 2 year 100k CPO that was part of the sale.

Price was not too bad. The car only had 13,740 miles on it when I bought it, and I have the full service history printout of what's been done/replaced etc. on the car.

    Runs and drives great.

Replacing 1998 A8. (It's been a great car, just want a newer one without 136k+ on the clock.)

I was looking for an 04-05 A8L for a while and just decided at the last second to go for the 2005 A6 4.2.... best decision I ever made. I hear the 04 A8's have a lot of issues.
