I can't find the damn thing anywhere. Audiworld tech articles and on here. Been searching for over an hour. does anybody have the list of vag-com modifications for our cars?

My car was done by a member at a local meet, and I just got my own cable working with 311.2 after an hour of twiddling around vista trying to get it to work. Ross Tech doesn't have a full list of stuff we can do...

I think this is what you are thinking about
    http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/audiB5.html
If you use the search type in vag-com there are a lot of forums on it and different situations. This site is ross-tech itself.
Try these as well but more for logging

    Re: Vag codes list

the last link was helpful, thanks. I saw the first one already, but there used to be something similar around here somewhere with a bunch more stuff. I don't remember if it was pre or after crash though...

    Re: Vag codes list

I remember just being able to type in vag-com mod in the search and it would come up. Not anymore...maybe it got lost in the great crash. Anyways, how did you get it to work in vista?

    Re: Vag codes list

what problems are you having with it running on vista? if you right click on the program and go to options, you can change the settings as to how the program is run. Switching to run as admin makes it work for most people...

On a side note. I have fully unlocked 311.2 and everything scans fine EXCEPT for the engine control module. I know people have this problem with the ebay cables, but is there a fix for it?

Re: Vag codes list and Engine engine control module

hhmmm i'll have to give it another try, but i would not run this vista laptop i got. I went back to my old XP laptop. I tried to run it as admin and it didn't work. How did you install it? and what drivers did you use for the cable? Did you try to scan with the engine off? I have that issue with the 0902 code i think, but if i try a few times it eventually connects.

Re: Vag codes list and Engine engine control module

I haven only tried it with ignition on, not engine on. Driver was installed by the pc on its own. I installed it just like the vag-com revisited thread showed in the b7 forum. Maybe I will try to scan with the engine on? Try to run the program in a different compatibility mode (right click and options again)
