Have any of you bought your car using the Costco purchase program? How much did it save you off of MSRP?

about 4k +/- off msrp. i'd recommend it, saved lots of hassle - they didn't even want to haggle.

I'm not sure what model you're looking at, but in today's market with so many different cars selling for or sometimes below invoice, I'm not sure how much the costco program can save. It would be different in a higher volume market but now...

I put a deposit on a 2.0t S-Line, metallic paint, no NAV or ADS. I contacted a few other dealers but since I live in a somewhat isolated area, the nearest dealer other than my own is 4 hours away. The other dealers told me that all S-Lines were "sold orders only," which they explained meant that none were available in the region that weren't already spoken for. My dealership and I agreed upon about $1400 below MSRP, which came in under what Edmund's True Market Value said was what other people are paying.

I keep seeing people getting better deals on this messageboard, but since my price was below Edmund's TMV I feel more-or-less alright about what I negotiated. The last car I bought I got for $1000 under invoice so this one doesn't feel as good, but the situation is different.

    Re: Costco purchasing

The Costco deals I've heard about have been $750 over dealer cost for an A4 sedan and $1250 for avants. Dealers can't/won't deviate much, if any from the partner negotiated pricing because those are the pre-negotiated terms of the contract. They would be out of compliance with the contract if they did. There are regularly scheduled audits and if there are too many deviations from the program standards the dealer could lose their relationship with that partner.

Sorry my initial estimate was off, but not by a whole lot. The msrp on my car (2008 manual, fwd, special edition, no nav) was 30,525 i got it for about 2670 less ($180 above invoice).
