Xenon fogs going out after VAG for independent fogs?

Well, last weekend I got my car VAG'd and did the switch "wire connection" technique or whatever that's called where you attach the fog wire to the parking lights in the headlight switch. Now when I'm driving, the fogs will turn off and the switch won't be illuminated green, even if I have it pulled out to one click. Then, all the sudden it will start working again. This doesn't happen after I hit a bump or anything like that, in fact, it seems completely random. Ideas?

why didn't you just set your car to Canada setting so you ran them as DRL

I believe that only works for '02s. I think you have to do the wire technique for all other B6's.

i had just did mine last week also. Mine has to be double clicked out i think to turn the fog lights on.

When i first put it back together it would not work. when i took it apart the electrical tape moved and was not covering the pin.

Put new tape on and then made sure the connection was in there pretty solid. It also looked like it was pushing through the electrical tape so i doubled it up.

also how many times did u wrap the pins with the wire ?

what type of wire did you use ? i took i think it was 18 gauge copper speaker wire. I stripped about 3 inches of it then took 6 strands twisted them, then i cut it off the rest of the spool.

i don't remember how many times it was wrapped around the pins but it was a few.
