^agreed. Also, I wonder how dumb the brushed chrome door blades would look on our cars.

All silver with brushed mirror caps would probably look sick with those blades.

Well it's basically an air ride a6 so I'd assume compare a c5 with the b6. I'm sure theyd fit with some modification

Blades won't fit though - someone tried that awhile back

True, but also remember our cars dont have the two tone (when lowers are painted). We also have the rubstrips on our passenger doors adding a bit of visual distortion to make our cars look smaller. Not to mention our entire door blade / sideskirt setup is different. I am trying to see if this will be a cheaper alternative to not "widebody" but getting your arches a little buffer

A6 and allroad body panels and bumpers differ greatly

dtm autohaus sells fender flares and I would think with the all road ones you would still need to repaint the car?

those are pretty deep... That would be a sick conversion for Capt. and his air ride. He could get lower. But it wouldn't look as sick when the wheels don't tuck under the fenders as much.

Going to give a couple bodyshops some calls and see what the terms or possibility of this endeavour is.

Those would look terrible on my car because my wheels would be tucked deep inside those flares. I tuck RIM on my car, so they wheels need to fit behind the stock fenders. If I had flares like that and accordingly wider wheels, the tires would just rest on the flare part and my car wouldn't go as low.

Pretty sure it doesn't work just judging from a visual inspection. Happened to have a allroad parked outside the parking lot. Maybe with some modifying, but def not a DIY job.

oh well i meant that the wheel wells themselves look pretty deep. The idea being that deeper wheel wells means more clearance for your tires and rims. So with the same size wheels your car could go lower to the ground. But yeah because the flares are there and the wheel well would be deeper it just wouldn't look as sick since there would be a lack of tuck. And it would be ridiculously impractical to go through all that and probably not possible other than to just add the flares...

get the wider MTM flares if you do go through with it.

saw an all painted allroad with MTM fenderflares that was sick! dumped and running like 295's with room to spare iirc

Not on the drawing board at the moment. Not sure how the "add on" flare look would flow with the A4's lines. On the Rabbit, GTI, and Jetta which we are working on flares for I think the look would be generally more accepted than on the A4, not to say they couldnt be pulled off
