    Re: Replacing Locks

the chances of someone finding your key, then finding the exact car it goes to are very slim. i know to get the whole car re-keyed (new set of keys, ignition, two doors and the trunk lock) is probably going to be $1000-$2000 because its only possible for a dealer to do the work.

    Re: Replacing Locks

only an Audi dealer will sell you replacement ignition and door locks and the keys that go with them. i suppose you could just buy the locks and have another garage do the install, or DIY. but they are still going to charge you out the ass for the parts unfortunately.

Ap-Specialties parts out running cars - so they would have everything you need. Still sounds like a bitch to replace everything

    Re: Replacing Locks

Well instead of worrying about that why, if your going to spend the money why not look into theft coverage? Or a less expensive anti-theft device

    Re: Replacing Locks

From the dealer it will take maybe 2-3 weeks to get them from Germany, new keys, ignition, 2 doors, trunk. And very expensive. Maybe from ap you can get it all together but you have to call them. Pm if you are looking for someone to install. I'm on longisland.
