I need a fuel pump access sealing cap!!

Last friday my CEL came on i didnt have a chance to look at it so Sunday night my car died at a stop light, i was like ok wtf, i cycled the key and noticed that the fuel pump was not turning on. I banged on the pump and finally made it back home. I removed the fuel pump acress cap and also found
that the evap "nipple" off the fuel pump sealing cap was broke

. So right now i am woundering if anyone out there has replaced their pump and still have the top cap that they would sell me?? I really need one and the dealer only sells it with the pump. I work at a Vw dealer so i got the lower part with fuel pump from a passat which is the same as a a4. Please let me know.........

Most aftermarket pumps do not come with the fuel tank cover therefore we re-use it.

You are referring to the item in my hand in this photo, correct?

If you can not get one from an OE parts supplier than contact Clint (audia4_20t). He can most likely find a Passat one at a pick-your-part yard.

You are going to have to get one used...The pump and cap is 8E specific and they are not sold seperately. A Passat cap will not work.

Part number for the pump assembly is 8E0 906 087 N (early) and 087 P (late) Cost is around $160 or so.

Is the B7 the same?

There is a B7 being parted out in the AZ classifieds that perhaps the OP can contact the seller. I've been talking to the seller for some parts and he has been very accommodating.

yes it is the part in your hand, damn man this sucks someone has to have one from a fuel pump replacement, i dont have to have to pay 160 just for a cap...
