dont drive your car with a bad coilpack!!! it's VERY bad for the turbo and the cat!

already know , i didn't have a choice. it was about 25 miles tops and in any case if my cat decides to take a dump i'll drop in a testpipe/hiflow state emissions laws

    Re: Coil Pack/s ?? FAIL

I had a similar thing going recently, my car was misfiring over 10psi. Felt like a coilpack (I've had a lot of the bremi (OEM) coils go before) except this time it wasn't getting gradually worse like it usually does with the coilpacks. I've also been running the Beru coils for 20k miles now.

Soooo... I vag'd the car, got a cylinder 4 misfire. I swapped all 4 plugs and that was it. I tested it by doing a few 3rd gear pulls and it holds 18psi like a champ again. That means my Beru coilpacks are still holding strong at 20k miles :)

That also means that I got nowhere near the advertised 25k miles out of the NGK Iridium plugs I last bought (I think closer to 10k?). All I had for a full set of plugs was a new set of OEM NGK plugs and so far they're running great, although I'll most likely swap in a set of copper plugs again when I do my big timing belt service, I'm looking at the Bosch plugs which a lot of people are speaking highly of but I may just go back to the BKR7E non iridium plug and go back to swapping them every 5000 miles.

I highly recommend the Beru Coils to EVERYONE. I got mine from 034. With these coils, I don't worry about getting stranded anymore like I used to with the OEM bremi coils.
