    Ziza Yellow Foglights

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Just installed some Ziza yellow H7 foglights on my 2004 A6 and thought I'd share. Didn't like the xenon headlights and halogen foglights combo. Hope these cut through all the fog we've got up here in the northwest. What do ya think?

Never was a huge fan of the yellow fogs on any car. I'm more of a match the headlights to fog lights kind of guy.

I hear you on that but at the price of HID matching fogs (100-150) and all the rocks on the road from winter here, I'm asking to replace those quite often. Thought these would switch things up a bit.

Pardon my ignorance -- Zizas are LEDs? What is difference (yellow) vs stock for visibility in fog (as opposed to aesthetics, nonfog conditions).

    Re: Ziza Yellow Foglights

I started using 3K(yellow) HID's in my fogs a few months back. I have to say that they cut through everything. Fog/rain/snow/wet pavement, doesn't matter. When the low/high beams fail, the fogs always give me road to view. I guess I never appreciated them on my IS, but man prefacelift C5 projectors suck. They don't light the road at all. Yellow fogs helped A LOT. When I had 4300K HID fogs, they were bright. They struggled as you would expect though when the weather wasn't ideal.

Not sure what you are saying that I cut cause the car comes stock with those covers for the foglights.

I think what he is asking about is the method you used to make the hole in the back of the foglight housing to run the wiring for the HIDs.

I think yellow headlights would be too much and wouldn't light up the road very good unless it's 24/7fog where you live lol.

I didn't cut anything regarding to the fog lights, they are projectors(I believe) and I just switched out the stock H7 bulbs for these.

I swapped out the worthless, pre-facelift incandescent fogs for 4500K Hids. They are the shit for the snow I drive through all the time. When it does not snow, I am keeping a sharp eye out for Elk and deer, so they work great as driving lights too. Well worth the $65 they cost.

I just used a 1" spade bit, which made a perfect hole for the HID gasket.

That may be what he is asking, but no one here is talking about HID fogs, those are halogen.

You only need to buy halogens with the same color temperature to match your HIDs, you don't need to do a HID conversion to get the color to match.

Fog lights that aren't yellow are just driving lights...

This is something that I'm planing on doing soon too, but I'm not sure if I want to do HID... A nice heavy (thick, to protect the lenses) yellow tint and some bulbs that are more "white" than OEM would help a LOT... Maybe even a slightly higher wattage.
