xenon ballast

Hi.
Anybody knows if there are different types of ballast for a 02? Water leaked into one and it is shot. At first, I thought it was the bulb (175$ for the new one)and I threw away the old one...
I got a new ballast from the dealer (640$) but it is a bit different from the old one. The old one has a 12 pins connector (only 2 pins are used), and the new one has a 4 pins connector. Is it just a new version?

WOW! dude I could've given you a ballast for 100. Never buy anything over a hundred dollars from the stealership...whhats wrong with you man? HAHA JK.

I found the answer.
There is one ballast model. I need to buy the connector: a 12 pins that adapts into the 4 pins of the new ballast.

incorrect, there are 2 ballasts. 5G and 5GL. I need a pair of 5GL's if anybody is listening.

Well, the dealer told me that with the 5gl, you just need the proper connector and it replaces the 5g. Somehow I beleive you more then the dealer. They want me to give them my car to fix it...
