Update on Misfire

So i got another cable and scanned the car, multiple misfires on cylinder 3 and 4. Erased the codes, scanned again, cylinder 4 misfire, erased codes,swapped coils, scanned again, cylinder 4 yet again...
So my question is, what else could it be, im thinkin maybe the plugs which i am going to replace 2moro.

get some new plugs and change valve cover gasket .. it solved problem in my car .. good luck

valve cover gasket was done about 3,000 miles ago....Gonna try the plugs tomorrow...

Are these like constant misfires or intermittent?

If you know it's not the coils, then I would definitely go with plugs.

Don't forget, when one coil goes bad, and you replace only the one that went bad, chances are that more of them will go bad right away. Hope that made sense, and if not, just change all 4 every time 1 goes out.

i replaced all 4 coils with the R's..., and its a constant misfire at idle as well as giving it gas..

Pull the sparkplug and see what it looks like

I didnt have the valve cover breather on all the way and mine missfired like a mofo. check for vacuum leaks.

How does your car idle?

If you have changed your plugs, then it could be your MAF or primary wideband. Have you also changed your ECT sensor to a green unit? (ECT = Engine Coolant Temp, located behind the head). Either of these gone bad will cause this.

Log block 003 to get the g/s readings at idle. Then look at your short-term and long-term fuel trims (blocks 032-034) to see if the ECU is pulling or adding fuel (lean or rich missfire).

worst case scenario you have a bent or cracked valve thats what happened to me.

well i replaced the plugs, and it still is misfiring on 4...i pulled the plugs, all of em except 4 smelled like gas, 4 was very white and didnt smell...
Im still pullin -20 vac...

yea, it was mentioned, but would that only make one cylinder misfire, i looked around and havn't found anything yet...also the fact that one plug (cylinder 4) didnt smell like fuel and was burnt white makes me think that an injector seal may of blown...

So does anyone know where to get one genesis 380 fuel injector, they all come in sets, and im not spendin another 300 if i only need one..

Multiple Cylinder Misfires indicates MAF. I'm more than 100% sure.

But if it's only ONE cylinder, then it is likely something else.

^^^ It was multiple, but now its just one cylinder, im not to sure what went down that night, shifted into first and it was fine, then went into 2nd let the clutch out,hit the gas and misfire city

do a compression test on the cylinder that is misfiring

Cool, will try that as well. When i get home from work 2night, im going to pull the fuel rail off and check the injector just to make sure the rings are still good.

i had the same problem. i kept checking everything then i did a comression test and noticed one of my cylinders was alot lower than the others it turned out to be a cracked valve.

this is probably not the case with you, but i had the same problem where i thought the car was misfiring and i thought it was the coilpacks so i changed 2 of them and no change, but it was misfiring also when after the gear was shifted while i was driving, so turns out my tranny was done, but if ur fine from that point its probably something else

im still hopn its the injector, i gotta wait till friday because work is killing me with the hours right now... I will update asap to see what the deal is...

Quick update, shot some brake cleaner around the injector to see if the idle smooths out, did not, so its not a seal...I checked the new plugs and all 3 cylinders, the plugs are soaked with fuel, but when i pulled the plug on cylinder 4, it was bone dry...no fuel

So im gonna jump the injector 2moro and see if shes clicks, if no clicks, then does anyone know where to find one genesis injector...i have a feeling im going to have to buy 4 which sucks...

UPDATE!!!!...Pulled the rail off checked the injectors, switched the one on Cylinder 4 to 3 and started it, ran like crap, checked codes, Misfire on 3...WOOOHOOO, bad injector...time for a new one.
