Does anyone know if you can use (or modify) the RNS-E in an 06 a3 3.2 to play dvds? I dont intend to watch while driving but it'd be nice for passengers. When you have the screen fold the slot the nav dvd is in obviously runs dvds... but is it only the nav dvd? and is there anyway to get ID3 tags to show up for SD cards, CD's etc? Would it also be possible to VAG the car to roll down the windows when i hold the unlock button on the key for 5 seconds or some similiar kind of way?

Sorry to pile on the questions guys.

no you cannot. you need to unlock video in motion.
buy a dietz 1417 to be able to have a AV input then you need to have a IPOD or a DVD player to be able to connect ot the dietz so you can watch video.

check vrvortex a3 forum there is DIY on unlock window via remote. its in DIY section pinned up top.

www.navplus.us has info on video in motion unlocking and dietz 1417 video input and dvd players

dietz is liek $250 unlocking can be free if you know what you are dong otherwise its ~$150 to unlock from the forum sponsor
