The mystery of the dirty alcantara rear seats solved

My car has the silver/black alcantara seats. So I went to fold down my rear seats this weekend and I noticed the upper corner closest to the window on both sides was FILTHY. The alcantara was basically black. At first I assumed it was from the dust that accumulates in the back window area on virtually every car but now I realize what happened. Since I got my downpipes installed in August, I drive most of the time with the rear windows down so I can hear the exhaust better. Obviously the dust and debris is coming in the windows and that is why the upper corner on both sides is dirty. Haven't tried to clean it yet but I hope it comes off because it is nasty looking.
