    12V switched circuit

I need a quick answer. I'm installing a smart cord for my passport X50. I have it all ready to go except I need to tap into switched circuit 12V. (one which is on when the car is on and off when the car is off). The wire is not long enough to run back up to the sunroof that a lot of the DIY's use. I need to use one under the dash by the fuse box. Any recommendations down there?

Use the Homelink fuse (if you have it).

I need a wire to tap into. Does homelink have a exposed wire I can tap into somewhere in there?

Use the fuel pump fuse in the fuse box. That turns on with the car, and off. Just use an add-a-fuse and you'll be good.

I used an add-a-fuse to tap the circuit.
