I have one 'B' set of black CF trim as shown in the pictures.

This is a 'B' set as one of the pegs on the small dash piece is missing.

Price is $390 shipped and there is a $400 refundable core exchange fee in place.

If you want a matching shift surround, ashtray and hazard surround that is $150 + shipping

So what is the diff between "A" and "B" and all other letters?

These sets either have a small visual imperfection or something slightly wrong with the setting of the weave in a piece. We know it is there so it doesn't meet or pretty strict QC standards.

Definitions are as follows:

"A" set is excellent weave and surface.
"B" set is very good weave and surface. 1-3 pieces of the set may have a few imperfections that can be found by examining the piece close up, but not obvious when installed.
"C" set has visible imperfections that can be seen while sitting in the car.

I do not have any pictures of the imperfections as these 'B' sets sell quickly. If you need references I can forward you to some users that purchased from our last 'B' set sale and you can ask them for their impressions.

There are no 'C' sets available for purchase. The grade was included for the possibility of such an imperfection.

Could you explain how the 400$ refundable core exchange works.

It is very simple... You pay for the trim and the core exchange fee (in this case $430 + $400 core fee = $830), we send you the trim, upon receipt you have 14 days to install it and sent us your old trim pieces back to us, when we have your trim in hand we refund you the core exchange fee. So the final price paid is $430.

Or to avoid the core exchange fee you can take out your trim pieces first, send them to us and upon receipt we send you the new trim.

It is time consuming as you have to remove the clips that hold the trim in place in order to remove it.

Otherwise it is not difficult to do.

Sell it for cheaper?

I set of B5 used OEM trim goes for $150-200 so I don't know how much you think it costs to convert trim sets.

I know other people on the forum offer their products for less but I'll put up a set of my own trim to back up my statement that I guarantee it doesn't look nearly as good.

It is not easy to get right guys. I don't get why people have such a problem paying the price. If you wanted a cheap car, why did you buy an Audi S4? That "CF fabric" stuff if crap by comparison too. Just my .02
