    LATCH system

My B6 A4 Avant frequently hosts my 5 month old on excursions. I'm trying to find out how to get the LATCH system retrofitted into my car. For those not in the know... it's a system of hoops and such that you can click the car seat onto istead of using the seat belts. Anyone know?

    Re: LATCH system

your car should have them already. My sedan has them, they are marked by little badges on the bottom of the seat backs and there are covers, covering up the top hooks in the parcel shelf. We have an A6 Avant as well and the upper hooks are on the back of the seat backs. No young ones ever ride in our car though, so I don't know how easy the audi ones are to access.

I pulled the seat out and there is nothing under there. I'll call the dealership and see if they have an option. VW was retrofitting Passats with the latch system for free for awhile.

    Re: LATCH system

LATCH is definitely standard in all '03 sedans, but it was an option for the Avants - I just checked the spec sheet. That seems really strange.
